Madheshi leaders announce new party

Madheshi leaders, who recently quitted party and parliament, have announced formation of new Madheshi parry called Terai-Madhesh Loktantrik Party. Former Minister in coalition government Mahanta Thakur leads the new party.

Leaders including Sarbendra Nath Sukla and Hridayash Tripathi are learnt to have been designated in the top positions though the names of leaders of new party have not been disclosed.

Terai-Madhesh Loktantrik Party has made public its concept paper and flag. The flag bears a sketch of torch (Masal) in red and blue colors' fabric.

There will be 57 members in central committee including chairman, three vice chairmen, three secretaries and a treasurer. 

A few leaders of Nepali Congress and Nepal Sadvawaba Party-Anandidevi had quitted the parties accusing they were not serious on Madhesi peoples problems.
