CPN-Maoist Spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said the implementation of the parliamentary directives of adopting full-proportional electoral system and proceeding the proclamation of republic can be a new basis for maintaining the seven parties' alliance intact.
Addressing a function organized by Nepal Insurance Corporation in Kathmandu, Mahara urged the political parties not to underestimate the proposals passed by the interim legislature as a game of gaining and loosing. He, however, said it was the victory of people.
Mahara reiterated that the joint effort between the seven parties can deracinate the palace and other forces conspirating against the democracy.
Meanwhile, Khim Lal Devkota, another leader of Maoist said the issue of proportional electoral system and proclamation of republic should not be made issue of debate. He, however, iterated to tackle the regressive forces collectively by the republican parties. He also appealed the people to warn the parties going against the mandate of April apprising.
