In the wake of Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s advice to the visiting CPN (UML) delegation to forge stronger unity between Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (UML), Maoists chairman Prachanda has reacted strongly it terming as the foreign interference to foil eight party unity.

Talking to reporters at a press meet in Butwal, on Wednesday, Prachanda said that Indian advice was not a good sign and brewing conspiracy and game to 'finish' the Maoists.

His remarks came in the wake of reports of Indian advice, on Tuesday to UML delegation led by its general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal in New Delhi.

Prachanda warned that any move to spoil eight party unity by promoting two-party unity will result in a terrible accident.

He added that at a time when everyone should be moving towards holding elections of Constituent Assembly (CA), domestic and foreign reactionary forces were hatching conspiracy.

Prachanda reiterated that announcing republic by the parliament would be legitimate.
He said no CA election can be held by keeping monarchy alive.

“Other parties were still hesitant to announce republic through street pressure”, he added.
