Govt allocates Rs. 200 million for displaced people

Government has sanctioned an estimated Rs. 200 million  to those displaced during a decade-long Maoists insurgency in the country.

During a meeting of the Financial Committee of interim legislature parliament held today, Peace and Reconstruction Minister Ram Chandra Poudel informed that Rs. 200 million  was already sent to 73 districts.

Poudel also informed that the amount was handed over to Chief District Officer due to misuse.

Meanwhile, Minister Poudel also informed the committee that further preparations were underway to seek support from donors.
