Maoists initiate to demolish houses built in road area

New Kathmandu Valley Initiative of Maoist Valley Regional Bureau, in cooperation of Kathmandu Metropolitan city, has started to demolish the houses built intervening road area along Soltimode- Kalanki road section of Kathmandu.

The metropolitan city had subsidized the house owner three years ago. The activists of Maoist, staffs of metropolitan city and local people are involving in demolishing the houses.
 
Krishna K.C., member of Maoist Valley Regional Bureau said they began the work taking consent from 500 local people stating that his party would continue cleansing the capital.

Metropolitan city has also used a dozer in demolishing the houses and cleansing the remains.

According to Prem Hari Dhakal, the houses constructed in road area had impeded in expanding the width of the road in 2005.
