The Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M), which has emerged as the largest party after Constituent Assembly (CA) polls on April 10, has continued its lead in vote count under Proportional Representation (PR) system with 30,47,308 votes.
According to the Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday, of the total 10,186,262 votes counted till Tuesday evening, the Nepali Congress (NC) is in second position with 21,68,943 votes followed by the Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) with 20,88,555 votes.
Upendra Yadav led Madhesi People’s Rights Forum (MPRF) is in fourth position with 597,954 votes. Terai Madesh Democratic Party (TMDP) is following MPRF with 309,768 votes.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and the Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist-Leninist) are in sixth and seventh position with 253,600 and 235,037 respectively.
Based on the final PR vote count, the parties will share 335 seats proportionally for Constituent Assembly.
