MMT men shoot Maoist cadres

Madhesi Mukti Tigers (MMT), an armed group struggling in terai, has shot a Maoist cadre Sunday evening in Janakpur district.

Maoist cadre Ram Jeevan Raut of Omaprem Village Development Committee (VDC-7) in Janakpur has been injured with the bullet. Injured Raut is learnt to be taken to the Janakpur Zonal Hospital for treatment.

Likewise, at least two civilians were injured at the bullet shot by the unidentified armed group in Saptari district. The injured include Kumar Raya of Dhangadi Village Development Committee (VDC) and Binod Bhagat of Sonapur VDC in Sunsari district.

Raya has been taken to Biratnagar for treatment while Bhagat has been taken to B.P Koirala Memorial Hospital in Dharan. Raya has sustained serious injury on his neck. Similarly, Bhatat has got injury in his head and mouth.
