The government has decided to provide the Nagarjuna palace to the former King Gyanendra.
According to Minister for Information Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the decision was taken during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday afternoon at prime minister's official residence in Baluwatar.
On Monday during meeting with Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula, former King Gyanendra had requested the government to consider about his residence after his departure from Narayanhity Palace.
Meanwhile, the government has established two offices inside the Narayanhity Palace. The two offices have been given the mandate to collect the details of palace's historical artifacts and to formulate security plan of the palace.
