Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' on Monday said that Nepal will give top priority for the development of science and technology field.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the 5th National Conference on Science & Technology in Nepal Academy Hall, Kamaladi, Kathmandu, PM ' Prachanda' said that Nepal can't achieve the development goals with out the development of science and technology. He also assured to set up a assembly to promote science and technology in the country.
The three day conference organised by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) will conclude on November 12.
Addressing the same programme, NAST Vice Chancellor Homnath Bhattarai said that the conference will be an opportunity for the talented young scientists.
The conference is being taken part by more than 1200 national and internationals scientists and technicians.
According to NAST, altogether 654 presentations are there in the sessions, which include two special lectures, five plenary lectures, 17 invited lectures, 545 oral presentations and 85 poster presentations.
