Nepal urges India to take away its army from encroached Nepali lands

A cabinet meeting held on Sunday has urged Indian government to immediately return its security force deployed along Nepal-India boarder areas including in Susta of Nawalparasi district.

Backed by Armed Boarder Force of India, Indian have encroached hundreds of bighas of Nepali land in Susta district.

Stating that deployment  of Indian security force may  spark negative impact to the Nepali people for their participation in Constituent Assembly (CA) elections, the cabinet urged the take away security force from encroached Nepali territory. The cabinet meeting has also instructed Minister for Foreign Affairs to study the reality of 'Susta encroachment'.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala is learnt to have said ministers that he was talking with Indian government about Susta encroachment issue.

The meeting also discussed fixing of the new dates for CA elections and supplementary budge required to hold the elections. Emerging from the meeting, Health Minister Giriraj Mani Pokhrel said next meeting would announce the new date to CA elections.
