Saying the government remains apathetic to their demands, the agitating government employees on Sunday have announced fresh protest programmes across the nation.
Hari Kumar Shrestha, coordinator of struggle committee, said that they will hold an indefinite “pen down” in local bodies across the nation from tomorrow.
The joint struggle committee Organised a press conference in Kathmandu today and informed that they have come up with a separate protest programmes at the center and grassroots levels.
In the capital, the government employees will start protest programmes with a protest rally tomorrow.
Immediate enforcement of the civil service bill to ensure professional welfare and rights, security at workplace, and permanent status to the employees working on temporary and contract-basis at the local bodies are some of their major demands.
