General Manager of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Digambar Jha has reacted that three percent commission collecting the petroleum entrepreneurs was higher.
He also conceded that the corporation was not able to curtail the expenditure of NOC and the rate of commission collecting the petrol pumps.
According to the spokesperson of NOC Ichchha Bikram Thapa, petrol pumps operators have been taking benefit of three rupees per litre petrol. He said technical liquidity stood at one rupees while 44 paisa of per litre petroleum products was being spent in the office operation and staffing.
Stating that transportation cost per litre stood at 1.50 rupees, Thapa said the outstanding due to pay Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) was highly competitive.
Talking to a radio program for Nepal FM, Thapa claimed that the price hike of petroleum products could not recover the loss facing NOC.
