Verdict on governer's case delayed

A verdict of a corruption case filed against Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Bijaya Nath Bhattarai has been delayed as the presentation of the case scheduled for today diferred due to the absence of Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana.

An annoucement of the verdict that was expected to come today delayed as Justice Rana remaiend absent following his personal leave. 

The Commission for Investigation of the Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed a case in Special Court against Governor Bhattarai and Executive Director of NRB Surendra Man Singh claiming their involment in irragulariteis in the transaction with KPMG-Sri Lanka.

The case was scheduled to be presented before the Special Court today. The case has been pending for six months.
