The Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) on Thursday has appealed the Nepali Diaspora to donate for creating a relief fund to help flood victims.
Issuing a statement, NRNA International Coordination Committee (ICC) president Dr Upendra Mahato has appealed to all NRNA members 'to mobilise NRN communities all over the world to raise fund for the needy Nepali brothers and sisters affected by the floods.'
Dr. Mahato said, "It is not only the immediate relief that matters but the support extended in
rehabilitation of affected people is as important."
"The collected fund will be distributed through the association's secretariat in Kathmandu," added the statement.
Many organisations and the political parties have begun donation raising funds and other necessary relief materials to support the landslide and flood victims.
The government has also announced Rs 50 million as immediate relief to flood victims last Sunday.
