NT's service disrupted in eastern Nepal

Following the damage caused to its optical fiber in Nijgadh of Bara district, Nepal Telecom’s (NT) mobile phone services in various parts of the eastern region has remain disrupted since last Wednesday.

According to reports, mobile and STD communication between the capital and the eastern town of Biratnagar has been disrupted following the damages.

A report quoted acting director of the regional office of telecommunication company, Kedar Pokharel as saying that NT is trying to find alternatives to resume the services through the use of micro-wave.
 
The damages have caused difficulties to NT's thousands of users of the eastern region.
