One killed in police firing in Sunsari

One person has been killed and two others seriously injured when police opened fire at the demonstrators in curfew hour in Sunsari district. The incident took place near Dubahi’s Budhikhola bridge this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Mian of Dubahi, the police said. Two of the injured – Musuwa Mian and Bodhnarayan Paswan - have been rushed to hospital for medical treatment. Local administration has been clamping curfew in different parts of the district including Dubahi where incident took place since 8 am today for an indefinite period. 

After the incident protesters have continued demonstration against the police in the Dubahi area.
