Nine killed in blast in Palpa: Report

Nine people including five from a family died in an explosion in a house in Gothadi VDC-2 in the western district of Palpa Tuesday morning.

The nine perished in a massive explosion in a house in Gudhuke village of Gothadi at 8:30 this morning.

Reports say nine persons were buried under the rubbles when the blast razed the house in Bhutuke village.
Five members of a family and four others were inside the house when the bomb went off.

It is believed that the bomb was left behind during the Maoist insurgency.

A team comprising police, human rights activists and the journalists has gone towards the area after receiving the information about casualties.
