United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) Chief Ian Martin has said political uncertainty might jeopardize the ongoing peace process in Nepal.

Speaking at Reporters Club Nepal today, Martin urged the political parties to end the political stalemate and ensure the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls at the earliest.

Martin further expressed his contentment to the government for proposing the extended role to the UNMIN.  He, however, informed that United Nations was ever ready to support Nepal towards establishing the sustainable peace.

Martin also said the unity of the Seven-Party Alliance was the must for the success of the peace process and that all democratic forces should work together to strengthen law and order across the country.
