The talks held between the government and the petroleum dealers on Monday ended inconclusively. The representatives of Petroleum Dealers Association and Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply Shyam Sundar Gupta had held talks on the demands forwarded by the dealers.
Chairman of the Association Shiva Prasad Ghimire said the meeting deferred as the government could not agree to meet dealers' 17 point demands. The talk was deferred till today evening. However, the petroleum dealers said the discussions held earlier were not enthusiastic in addressing their demand.
The Association has urged all the petroleum product distributors not to import fuel from government owned dealers. The Association said the dealers would stop distributing petroleum products as a part of protests from tomorrow.
