Displaced-Jumla people return to their home

Following the improvement in political situation, displaced people  of Jumla district of Karnali zone have been returning to their homes. Significant numbers of people have been returning homes in the threshold of Dashain festival.

Assisted with different organizations, 46 people who were displaced from Kalikakhetu of Jumla district during armed conflict have returned to their village this week.

The displaced people had been taking shelter in several places of Banke district. Nepalgunj-based Regional office of Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC), a NGO working in human rights managed travel expenditure for them to return home, one of the displaced Deep Bahadur Shah said. INSEC Nepalgunj has assisted travel expenditure to more than 460 people for their return so far. 

According INSEC regional coordinator Bhola Mahat there are 5,7,30 displaced people in Mid and Far western regions.
