PM calls on army chief Katawal

Prime minister Girija Prasad Koirala has held discussions with chief of the army staff general Rukmangud Katawal on the latest security situation of the country.

Calling general Katawal at his own official residence in Baluwatar today, prime minister Koirala received information about security situation from army chief. Prime minister Koirala is also learnt to have discussed with army chief Katawal on maintaining law and order situation during forthcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) elections.

The PM and army chief are also learnt to have held discussions on whether or not to mobilize army in the CA elections.
