Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has said that the government is committed towards holding the Constituent Assembly polls in slated date.
Addressing an assembly of over 150 representatives of bilateral and multilateral donor communities in Kathmandu today, Koirala said the election will take place on April 10 and it will help resolve all problems facing the country.
On the occasion, he also expressed his gratitude towards the donor communities for their continued support.
Meantime, Finance Minister Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat informed that the meeting was organized to apprise the donor communities about peace process and development priorities of the country.
Speaking on the behalf of the donor communities, vice president of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Liqun Jin highlighted the major challenges of Nepal. He said Nepal is passing through the most critical moments of the history. He also highlighted the necessity of the strong commitment and the willpower in the leaders of political parties to solve the existing deadlocks in the country.
The two-day meeting will conclude on Friday with the release of joint statement.
