Ministers' resignations approved after 98 days

Prime Minister Girija Prasad koirala has approved the resignations of the ministers representing CPN-Maoist 98 days after they tendered the resignations.

Minister for Information and Communication Krishna Prasad Mahara, Minister for Physical Planning and Works Hisila Yami, Minister for Local Development who also took responsibility of Soil Conservation Dev Gurung and Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare Khadka Bahadur Bishwakarma had tendered resignation en masse on September 18.

Maoist ministers had resigned from their posts expressing dissatisfaction over the functioning of the government. The resignations were approved as per the agreement reached by seven political party yesterday. Now, the Maoist is  sending its leaders in the same ministries with new faces. The official activities of ministries to be shared by the Maoists will be carried out by Prime Minister until the Maoist sends the names.
