Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala met with his Indian counterpart Dr. Man Mohan Singh in New Delhi Monday morning. They discussed on the latest political change of Nepal, bilateral relation and regional issues.
During the meet held on the eve of the 14th SAARC summit, both of Prime Ministers discussed also discussed about the Nepal-India relation and Indian assistance in Nepal's peace process.
They also discussed on how India could contribute in solving the problem of the Bhutanese refugee in Nepal. In the discussion, Indian PM is leant to have said Koirala that India was serious about the problem of Bhutanese refugee.
According to the reports the discussions between two PM also included the agendas for the SAARC summit, latest political developments in Nepal and management of Nepal-India border to ensure that there would not be infiltration during the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls.
PM Koirala will meet Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam and foreign minister Pranav Mukherjee Monday evening. He is also slated to confer with the head of the delegations from SAARC countries and observers who have arrived in Delhi to attend the 14th SAARC summit.
Koirala is leading the 31-member Nepali delegation including new foreign minister Sahana Pradhan to the SAARC summit after his reappointment as the Prime Minister of the interim government on Sunday.
