Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' Monday afternoon met Indian President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil at the Rastrapati Bhawan in New Delhi.
According to reports, the duo discussed the current political situation in the country and other bilateral issues.
PM 'Prachanda', who is in New Delhi on a five-day official started meetings with the Indian top government and political leaders Sunday morning. He also met Indian Minister for External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee.
Talking to the media after meeting with the PM 'Prachanda', Minister Mukherjee said that the two countries needed work together to give new dimension to bilateral ties. India was always ready to discuss the issues of bilateral interest including the 1950's Nepal-India friendship treaty. All the problems can be solved by forming joint mechanism, Mukherjee said.
Meanwhile, PM 'Prachanda' also met main opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party leader LK Advani at Taj Hotel, where Dahal has been staying.
PM 'Prachanda' is also scheduled to hold discussion with vice president Hameed Ansari and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
