President Dr. Yadav stresses to strengthen unity for nation building

President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Monday has stressed to strengthen unity among the citizens of the country to participate in nation building.

Speaking at a function on the occasion of the Education Day and the Literacy Day at Shital Niwas, the presidential palace, President Dr Yadav said that it is time to strengthen unity, equality and harmony. He has also urged the people to take part in the nation building by being responsible for the economic and social development of the country.

During the function President Dr. Yadav felicitated students of different levels for their excellence. He awarded Nepal Bidhyabhusan Class A to 110 PhDs, Nepal Bidhyabhusan Class B to 64 Master degree holders for securing highest marks and Nepal Bidhyabhusan Class C to 23 students, who secured highest marks in Bachelor's level.

Similarly, President Dr. Yadav distributed Nepal Chhatra Bidhya Padak and certificates to 26 students who stood first in Bachelor's level.

President Dr. Yadav also requested the students to use the skills they have learned in nation building works.

This year the Ministry of Education celebrated the Literacy Day with the slogan “Basis of Democratic Republican Nepal: Rights of Everyone to Education”. Nepal started celebrating the Education Day on the same day world observes Literacy Day since last year.
