The vote count of the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections under the Proportional Representation (PR) system has reached in final stage.
According to the Election Commission (EC), a total of 10,648,341 votes have been counted till Wednesday evening. Of which, Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) alone has bagged 31,19,172 votes followed by the Nepali Congress (NC) with 22,53,797 votes.
Similary, the CPN-Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) in third position with 21,58,437 votes in its favour.
Upendra Yadav led Madhesi People’s Rights Forum (MPRF) is in fourth position with 674,853 votes. Terai Madesh Democratic Party (TMDP) is following MPRF with 335,533 votes.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and the Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist-Leninist) are in sixth and seventh position with 261,644 and 241,993 respectively.
The final result of 240 seats under the First-Past-The-Post (FPTP) system has already come out on Monday, in which CPN-M has reserved 120 seats for CA. Now, after the final result of PR parties will share 335 seats proportionally for CA.
