Finance Minister Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat has said that there was no alternatives to liberal economic policy while restructuring the state. Speaking at a program organized by Nepal-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital on Saturday, Minister Mahat said that the country would embrace the liberal and open market economic policies even after the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls.
Minister Mahat also claimed that the current situation of unrest would vanish after the CA polls. Stressing to the need of foreign investment, he urged the investors to come to the country.
Minister expressed hope that the government to be formed after the CA would create investment-friendly atmosphere in the country.
Speaking on the same occasion, German ambassador Franz Ring also urged the government to create conducive atmosphere for business and investment.
Likewise, economist Dr. Shankar Sharma said productivity had declined by 30 percent of late due to bandhs, strikes, labor disputes and load-shedding.
