The run-off election for the post of the Nepal's first president has concluded at International Convention Center in New Baneshowr, Kathmandu.

The Constituent Assembly (CA) members on Monday morning started voting at 8 am and ended 11 am.

According to reports, a total of 590 vates are cast during the run-off election.

Dr. Rambaran Yadave of Nepali Congress (NC) and Ramraja Prasad Singh from CPN-Maoist are competing in the presidential race.  Dr. Yadav and Singh had bagged 283 and 270 votes respectively during the first phase of election for the post of president last Saturday.

As none of the presidential candidates were able to secure a clear majority of 298 votes, the CA had decided to re-poll for the post.
