Police confiscates contrabanned red sandalwood

Police has confiscated 14 tons of contrabanned red sandalwood from the house of Radhadevi in Maitidevi of Kathmandu.

Following information provided by the youth wing of CPN-Maoist Young Communist League (YCL), Armed Police Force team deployed from Nil Barahi Batallian confiscated the red sandalwood Monday night.

According to the police, the  red sandalwood was hided inside the sacks of rotten rice. However, the owner of the sandalwood evaded the same night.

According to Nil Barahi Battalian of Armed Police Force, the confiscated red sandalwood would be handed over to District Forest Department in Babarmahal of Kathmandu.
