VDC Secys continue protest

After the Village Development Committee (VDC) Secretaries in few districts of terai region in eastern Nepal dropped their work in fourth consecutive day too, the administrative activities have been halted completely.

Citing the cause of insecurity, the VDC Secretaries in Rautahat, Bara and Parsa districts have resigned en masse. Likewise, the employees all across the Lumbini zone also dropped their work in solidarity to the protest.

The protesting employees have accused the government of not fulfilling the commitment towards maintaining the peaceful climate in the government offices within November 18.

The officials throughout the eastern terai have been protesting after the murder of Prabhu Narayan Yadav, an official of District Development Office in Saptari.
