Breaking all the previous records, this year 63.73 percent examinees have passed the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exam.
According to results published by the Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) late Sunday evening, out of 307,078 regular examinees, 195,689 (112, 975 boys and 82,714 girls) passed the exam.
Altogether 9,882 students secured distinction, 74,707 students got through in first division, while 105,592 and 5,508 made it with second and third division, respectively.
Similarly, a total of 19,335 (8,790 boys and 34,480 girls) out of 59,963 exempted examinees have passed the SLC exam. The pass percentage of exempted category stands at 32.24 percent. Of them, 635 exempted examinees passed in first division, 15,793 in second division and 2,907 in third division.
An official at OCE said that the supplementary SLC examination will be held on August 7 to August 14.
