The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) Thursday night has published the results of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations 2063.
According to OCE, of the total 274,210 regular examinees, 58.64 percent have passed the exams.
Similarly in the exempted category, of the total 72,957 examinees, 31.51 percent have passed the exams.
However, the list of the “Top 10” students have not been made public this year.
The pass percentage of SLC 2063 result this year has increased by 12 persent compared to last year. In SLC 2062, 46.51 percent students had passed the exams.
In the regular category, of the total 274,210 regular students, 160,802 have passed the exams of which 7,498 passed in distinctions. Similarly, the number of students who have secured First, Second and Third divisions, is respectively: 56,153, 89,662 and 7,498.
Likewaise, 31.53 percent of the total exempted students have passed the exams.
This year a total of 72,957 exempted students had sat for the exams of which 23,009 have passed. Last year only 17 percent of the exempted students had passed. The number of students who have secured First, Second and Third Divisions under the exempted category is 255, 17,715 and 5,039 respectively.
The SLC questions this year, were taken only from the grade 10 course book while in previous years, students had to from both grade 9 and 10 course books.
This year Nepal Telecom and other telecommunication services are providing the SLC results through SMS.
