A high-level delegation of the Swiss government is arriving Nepal on Tuesday. A five member delegation led by Deputy Secretary of State, Heidi Tagliavini will stay in Nepal for six days.
The delegation will hold a series of high-level meetings including with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, Maoist chairman Prachanda, UML general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, Speaker Subash Nemwang, Foreign Minister Sahana Pradhan and Information and Communication minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara during the visit.
The meetings will reportedly be focused mainly on the Swiss assistance for the upcoming constituent assembly election and the Swiss development projects in Nepal.
The delegation is also slated to inspect the development projects run by the Swiss Agency for Development and Corporation (SDC) in Sindhuli district and also visit the Maoist cantonment site in the district.
