United World Trade Centre, country’s largest shopping mall has been inaugurated Saturday. Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat has inaugurated the trade centre which is situated at Tripureshwore.
Inagurating the shopping mall, Finance Minister Dr Mahat said Kathmandu can be developed as the shopping centre of South Asia. He further said Kathmandu can attract large number of shoppers because of pleasant weather and cheap transportation fair.
“We request all concerned not to stage any kind of strike and protest for three years for the overall economic development of the country”, he added.
United World Trade Centre is constructed by United Trade Builders and Engineers Pvt. Ltd. The shopping mall is constructed in 11 ropanis of leased land of Trivuwan University. Trivuwan University has given the land on lease for 30 years to the company.
Constructed on 200,000 square feet of land, the shopping mall comprises 175 business firms.
