President of Madhesi People’s Rights Forum (MPRF), Upendra Yadav has forwarded three preconditions before he can sit for talks with the government.
Yadav, who is in Delhi to seek moral support for the agitation of Madhesh movement, told reporters that three preconditions were formation of high level judicial commission to probe atrocities during Madhesi agitation; stopping government-encouraged attack against MJF cadres; and resignation of Home Minister.
Recently, MPRF has formed a talks team headed by Yadav in response to the call for talks made by the government.
At the interaction with reporters, Yadav – who has remained semi-underground in recent months – accused the government of not seriously considering their demands. "If talks are not held, we will stage agitation again," he said.
He also ruled out involvement of Hindu extremists or royalists in MPRF agitation.
In Delhi, he met with general secretary of Nationalist Congress DP Tripathy and communist leader Sitaram Yechury on Monday.
