PLMF to organize wall climbing competition

On the 14th ceremony of Pasang Lhamu Sherpa's escalation to Mount Everest, Pasang Lhamu Mountaineering Foundation (PLMF) is going to organize an Open National Media-House Wall Climbing Competition 2007 for Nepalese journalists to provide knowledge about mountaineering.

According to a press release issued on Thursday, by the PLMF, the foundation will provide one week of wall climbing training from April 15 to19 free of cost and organize wall climbing competition on April 21.

This training will provide knowledge to journalists with their direct involvement and we hope it will help them to spread information about mountaineering in Nepal, said the release.

The first, second and third prizes are set Rs. 10,000, Rs. 7500 and Rs. 5000 respectively with a medal and certificate.
