Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has slashed load-shedding hours to be effective from Tuesday.
According to the new schedule publicized by the NEA, it will impose only 21 hours of power cuts four days a week. Earlier, consumers had to bear more than 46 hours of load shedding every week.
The NEA said that power outage hours were reduced as the water level in reservoirs increased.
The load shedding will be imposed for two and a half hour for 3 days, eight hours and six hours respectively for another two days. The NEA has announced that the duration of power cut will be decreased gradually. |
