As soon as he returned from three days long vacation in hometown Biratnagar, Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on Tuesday, has begun consultations on the disturbances of the parliamentary proceeding and its solution.

PM Koirala conferred with deputy speaker of the interim legislature parliament Chitra Lekha Yadav and talked about the stalled house. According to the sources, the PM discussed on the possible solution to smoothen the House proceedings, which have been disrupted for nearly a month now due to protests of Madhesi and Maoist MPs. Even though the Maoist MPs did not resort to protests in the House yesterday, the House proceedings were stalled due to protests from Madhesi and RPP MPs.

The PM is also scheduled to consult with Speaker Shubash Nemwang and a few leaders of other parties over the issue.

Earlier before returning to the capital from Biratnagar, PM Koirala had informed that Nepali Congress (NC) would be united once the date for the Constituent Assembly (CA) election was fixed.

Talking to his party workers, PM and president of Nepali Congress said that the unity between NC and NC (Democratic) was very close.

He, however, said that holding special convention was not necessary for the purpose of unity.

In their interaction with the prime minister, NC workers had demanded immediate declaration of CA date and restoration of law and order.

PM Koirala had told reporters on Monday that he would call eight party meeting once he would return to the capital to fix the new date of CA election – which he said would probably be held around mid-November.
