NATA hosts International Travel Mart

Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents (NATTA) is going to host the second International Travel Mart with a view to spread the message among international communities that Nepal is now a completely safe destination to travel.The fair that scheduled for 11- 7 May 2007 will be organized in joint cooperation with the ministry of culture, tourism and civil aviation, Nepal Tourism Board and Nepal Airlines. Speaking at a program organized to inform about the fair, Dhrub Narayan Shrestha, president of NATTA, said the travel mart will see the presence of international tour operators and media people who will come down and check out the ground situation in the country. An organizing committee under the aegis of the tourism minister, an advisory committee led by the tourism secretary, and a string of sub-committees have already begun the preparations of the fair. The minister of culture, tourism and civil aviation, Pradip Gyawali who attended the function said that the mart would boost the image of Nepal internationally and help promote tourism. According to the organizers, more than 100 foreign buyers from about 25 countries like Spain, Germany, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, to name some, are expected to participate in the mart. |
