South Korea to provide opportunities to Nepali workers

A minister of Korean Government has said that Korea would provide work opportunities to Nepali nationals in labor market.

Korean Labor Minister Lee Sang Soo, upon his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday said to the journalists that he honored Nepali workers.

The minister arrived in Kathmandu for consultation on 'Employment Permit System' in connection to the Nepali workers entry in Korea.

He also said that he was optimistic to reach a successful result after bilateral discussion.

Minister Lee Soo arrived here leading an 11-member delegation.

South Korea has been providing work as trainees to the Nepalese so far. South Korea is a lucrative job market for Nepali foreign job seekers due to high pay scale

The delegation will meet and hold talks with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and Speaker of the Interim Legislature-Parliament Subash Nemwang separately.
